Hello everyone
'All dressed up' are sponsoring Tuesday Morning sketch challenge and several of my talented DT's were asked to make a card to showcase for the challenge.
this is the sketch:
and I made this:
As soon as I saw the sketch I immediately thought of a centre stepper card.
The image is one of the summer girls and I coloured her with promarkers and Spectrum noir pencils before fussy cutting her out. The backing papers are from Pink petticoat that I printed onto plain card stock. The card was cut using a die as was the oval shape behind the cutie. Finishing it off it a sentiment from Lili of the valley and a cute little heart shaped button.
Please hop over to the challenge for a chance to win some of Wendy's fabulous images.
I'd like to enter this into:
Thanks for stopping by - please leave me a message if you happen across my small part of the internet, it always makes my day to receive them!
see you soon

Sentimental Sundays - Fathers day
Happy fathers day to all those dads out there!
In honour of Dad's everywhere SS this week have a masculine themed challenge - simply called 'happy fathers day'
Our sponsor Bugaboo have kindly donated some images to help us make fabulous cards for those special Dad's and I used 'superdad' for this. I didn't want to make a card for my hubby from Harrison as he had made one at nursery which was so special I wanted this as pride of place. Instead I made Matt a pennant to celebrate the fact he's a No 1 dad.
I used a x-cut die for the flag and letters to cut out in blue and red card respectively. I then coloured the image using promarkers, fussy cut him out and stuck him down using silicon glue for dimension. All hanging with a piece of twine!
Matt is a superdad after all!
Have a great day Dad's!!!
Love

Prom princess all dressed up challenge June 15th
Hello everyone
I'm back from holiday all tanned and relaxed (well I was relaxed but that never lasts long does it when you return!)
We had a wonderful holiday in Cyprus - Thanks to the team at the Aliathon Holiday Village we had an amazing time!
Back to mt crafty room though - It's been almost three weeks since I made anything, and if I'm honest, I almost feel a bit out of practice. Sorry Hubby but that means I'll have to get back in there on a regular basis to get my mojo back!
Back over to the challenge and here's my inspiration, she's called Prom princess and is available here
I coloured her using promarkers then fussy cut her out. The flower and head band have a wink of Stella glitter to make them uber sparkly. The background is red card and I used my Heartfelt creations flower stamp in black to add detail randomly stamping around. The white mount was distressed using weathered wood distress inks and a bit of white frantage. The sentiment stamp is from Inklicious. Matted onto black card, she was mounted using silicon glue for dimension, with a bit of red ribbon and four black sparkly gems to finish.
I hope you like it - please hop over to 'All dressed up' and enter out latest challenge to win three of Wendy's stunning images, or just to check out the other talented DT work.
Please remember if you want to enter, the theme is anything goes, but you Must use an all dressed up image. If you haven't got one - then you can still join in there are freebies here
I'd like to enter this into:
Thanks for stopping by, and leaving your comments - they always make me smile!

Sentimental Sundays - you did it - Graduation.
Hello everyone
Its the time of year when many young people are going through exams and completing degree's, so our challenge at Sentimental Sundays is to celebrate this. Its called - you did it! Graduation theme.
We are sponsored by Drawn with character
And I used one of their images to make this....
Isn't he great - I think he's just perfect!
I coloured him with Promarkers, then detailed with Spectrum Noir pencils.
The paper is from my stash ( can't remember the name of the pad and I'm hopeless as I throw away all packaging when I get something new!)
The sentiment was printed and then punched using a small circle punch, with a little distress ink in rusty hinge to make them pop!
If you are taking exams - good luck (and if you're a parent of a child, i know it can be tough for you too!!)
Please hop over to SS and check out our fabulous DT cards, and if you are making something to celebrate passing those exams, please enter too!
See you soon
Rachael
PS - I am now back from Cyprus, but posting in advance as I am now buried under a huge pile of washing!

Sentimental Sundays - Vintage
Hello friends!
Over at SS this week we have a new challenge for vintage themed projects. I really struggle with this theme as its really not my style - but I gave it a go and this was the result.
Our Sponsor is Fred She Said who have some lovely digi stamps as well as pre coloured images. Thanks you for supplying me with great materials!
I took a pre-coloured rose and used it to make the background papers. It was just a sheet of copy paper I printed onto before ripping and making it shabby. I also used vintage photo to age the edges and stamped lightly with a script stamp in places too.
The image is a digi stamp that I printed six times, and cut out the layers before colouring with promarkers. I then layered them together and added a touch of gilding wax and some glitter glue to add sparkle and shine.
The cheesecloth was also coloured with ink and wet to give an aged look.
I also used a touch of gilding wax around the edges of the papers too. I used the backing paper to make a matching insert. All done!
Hope you like it, I'm pleased with the result. Sorry about the photos the lighting didn't adjust properly leaving it a strange colour.!!
please hop over and join our challenge, our DT's have once again made some fantastic inspired projects!
See you all soon
