Spring flowers part 2

Hi everyone

I told you I had an obsession over yellow... here's my next card.  No colouring as such, just inking, stamping and flower shaping, using the Dreamees new Sunflower collection.  I saw some gorgeous Primulas and thought of the flower shape.  The one in the Dreamees stamps seemed perfect.

The backing papers are from a Nitwit digi kit.  I used a Lili of the valley digi sentiment, and enlarged it on craft artist before die cutting it with a circle die, and tattered lace die.  The flowers and leaves were stamped then coloured with distress inks, and I used some stamens in the middle of each flower with a touch of glitter.

Finished with some Anna Marie natural fibres, and some Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo crystal drops

I hope you like it

spring time!

Hello everyone

Despite the pouring rain, mixed with sleet and the occasional bit of snow, I am feeling spring-like.  I think I’m looking out of the window and willing my daffodils through the soil, but in doing so, becoming rather obsessed with the colour yellow. I seem to have made a few cards in yellow combos with reds, pinks, and greens.  The first one to share is this one:

I made this card in prep for my Moms birthday in Feb (I hope she’s not reading this!) using a new Wild Rose stamp purchase called dogs in pots.

I’ve done loads of fold-back cards in the past, but never on a A5 landscape so it gave me lots of room.
I wanted the feel of a trellis, but didn’t have one so cut up a crafters companion backing die to make it look a bit rugged.  I also used a tattered lace ivy die and the flowers were printed and cut out, as was the Lili of the valley sentiments.
All the backing papers were printed from a Nitwit collection.  The image was stamped in desert sand memento, and coloured with copics and promarkers (still building the copic collection so it’s a bit mix and match at the moment!)
Finished with a few yellow pearls and a mushroom die (sorry I don't know where its from I seem to have lost the packaging) also coloured with copics

January 2018 new challenge

Hello dressie fans

Happy new year!

I haven't posted yet this year, I've been so busy playing with my Christmas stash, I've not posted anything for a while....

Lets start 2018 with a fab challenge at all dressed up.  Time once again for you lovely ladies (and gents of course) to enter the challenge on our blog to win three images.  Our theme as always is anything goes, as long as you use one of the images.  If you need freebies, there are some on the blog, or of you want to treat yourself our etsy page is here

For this months inspiration I've reverted back to purple, and using my new copics (I know, I was so excited to get a bundle more, thank you Santa!) I coloured up this cutie from Party Season.  They come as a set of three, but thought this one was perfect for a girls birthday.

The papers are from a Nitwit digi kit.  I coloured her using copics, and matted and layered onto a dark purple card.  Added a bow, and a bit of bling, and finished with the lili of the valley sentiment tags.

Hop over to our blog here for more fantastic inspiration from our DT, and details of how to enter.  Also if you use your favourite colours like I did, you can also enter the Facebook competition running until the 1st Feb, for a second chance to win
