Friday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 99

 Happy Friday everyone!

You've guessed it, its another sketch challenge over at FSC.  Number 99 as drawn by Christine.

Its a really easy one, but very versatile, have a look - what could you do with this one?

Heres my inspiration, a nice CAS card to say thank you to Harrison's nursery.  He leaves next week to start 'big school' sob sob!

So thank you Treetops in Dudley - you have been amazing!

Enough emotion -and back to the challenge!

The image is a Tiddly inks sheep one (currently only $1 each!)

I coloured the word 'thank' in hot pink promarker, then using a quickie glue pen and some bright pink glitter, covered the word to give it some sparkle.

The sheep were given some texture and dimension using cosmic shimmer PVA shimmer.  I dabbed on a few dots, waited for them to dry before dotting on more (this was to prevent them blobbing together )

Add some matting and layering, a bit of dotty card and a flower punch and the card was complete.  Nice and quick in less than 30 minutes!

I'd like to enter this into:

Drs design blog - sentiment as main focus
Addicted to stamps and more - CAS
Crafting for all seasons - you're having a laugh
Crafty boots - fair and square
Sparkle and Sprinkle creative challenges - Glitter

Thanks for dropping by, if you have happened across my happy place, please leave me a message - i just love reading them.  It always brightens my day!

See you soon

Tiddly inks DT

Hi Everyone

I see that Tiddy inks are once again having a DT call, As I love, love, love these images it would be rude not to enter.

I've already added a previous card, but thought I'dd add two more.

This is the first of these two extras

To make this one, I printed the image adding a sentiment in the corner.  I coloured her in using a combination of promarkers and Spectrum Noir pencils.

The frame is gilding wax that I painted on.  I used a solvent that softens the wax and an old paintbrush.  It doesn't show up very well on the photo but its really metallic.

I then cut the whole thing Square and cut out the middle of the frame using my craft knife.  I mounted it on dotty paper and used the same paper to make three flowers to hang it on.

I hope you love this as much as I do.... watch out for part two tomorrow.

I'd like to enter this into:

Thanks for stopping by!

All dressed up challenge

Hi everyone

All Dressed up are back too after a summer break the dressie girls are itching to get started again with the fabulous images by Wendy Burns

As its August, it is of course time to start thinking about Christmas cards, so I used 3 little Christmas girls for this image.  When you purchase this one, you get all three together, but also separate so if you only want them individually, you can.

I actually coloured all three but liked this one best

The back ground is a Sue Wilson Die set.  I used the largest shape to make the card blank, then layered up the next layers after tinting them with Tea Dye distress inks.

The sentiment is from a Crafters Companion sentiment set, and the poinsettias are an old rubber stamp collection I stamped in Distress inks them coloured with the same ink before shaping and layering.

The image itself is coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum noir pencils together.

Our challenge is Anything goes - you just have to use an All Dressed Up image.  If you haven't got one, but would still like the chance of winning one, there are freebies here

Please hop over to the challenge here, check our the Dressie girls inspiration and then enter our challenge to win some images of your choice!

I'd like to enter this into:
Christmas stamping - Anything goes (Christmas)
Wags and Whiskers - Frame it
Winter Wonderland - Christmas Carols and Songs

See you soon

Friday Sketch Challenge 98

Hello everyone - Happy Friday

It's back!  The new Friday Sketch challenge is here after a summer break, the team are back sketching and making!  Our sketch this fortnight looks like this...

And we are kindly sponsored by:

Here's my version of this sketch.

As this was about bubbles, i though of circles, however they ended up as vals.  The backing paper are from a Kay Miller digi kit called Cranberry fusion, which i also used to make the insert  The image was coloured with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils.

I've had problem putting embellishments in the right order recently, I am going though a bit of a creative block - I guess it happens to everyone at some point, so on this one, I didn't add anything as everything I tried looked wrong:( The sentiment is computer generated.

I hope you like it, but more to the point I hope you'll hop over to our Sketch Challenge here and give it a go.

Thanks for stopping by - see you soon
