Sentimental Sundays - Monochrome

Hello everyone

Happy weekend to you all - hope your getting time to relax.  Don't the weeks just seem to be flying by at the moment, I don't know where the time  is going!

Hope you  get chance to hop over to Sentimental Sundays this week where our challenge is Monochrome. Kindly sponsored by Aurora Wings.  I love these digi stamps, so challenging to colour and so striking.

Here is my monochrome card.

the butterfly was coloured with a combination of promarkers and spectrum noirs.  I printed the image twice and cut out the butterfly to layer up afterwards.
I've also used lots of glitter and sparkle and gems (difficult to see in the photo but in real life its very sparkly!)
The sentiment is computer generated, and I Google'd quotes.  I found this one by Sophia Loren and thought it to be very appropriate for this striking image. As its quite small it says ;
Beauty is how you feel on this inside, and it reflects in your eyes

Hope you like it - please do stop by Sentimental Sundays and check out our talented DT work, as well as have a go at our challenge.

Thank you to all my followers, and to those who leave a message, it means a lot to know you're all out there!

I'd like to enter this into:
Flat friends - say it with a quote

Love

  1. Hi Racheal, gorgeous, stunning, marvelous card. This is how I picture monochromatic. I say this because I joined in but never ever made a monochromatic card before and actually I didn't have clue of what I was doing. I too love these Aurora wings images as you said they are so striking. I used the girl with the floating hair. Og, yes and when you enlarge the picture the sparkles and stones are very visible and it is just gorgeous. (did you notice I am in love with your card ?)
    Thank you for sharing this beauty. Lots of greetings from Veerle x
