May new release - All Dressed up!

Hello everyone

Its time once again for another amazing release of stamps from the amazingly talented Wendy Burns.  These are simply stunning again, and so versatile.  They are all on Etsy, along with loads of other gorgeous digi stamps.

For my inspiration I have used 'The cats whiskers'

but here are the other images too:

Gaming Boy

Happy Holidays

Sandy Beach

And here is my make:

A nice CAS card today.  The background is a pink petticoat paper (sadly now retired)  I coloured her with promarkers.  The sentiment is a stamped one from a my favourite things set.  I doodles around the edge and added some pink and cream pearls.

Please stop by the blog and check out the DT inspiration for the other images, and while there don't forget to enter our bi-monthly challenge to win some of Wendys fabulous images.  Also we have a monthly themed Facebook challenge for you too!

You can buy Wendy's images here at Esty

This month I'm using an image called a time to give, found on Esty here:

I coloured it in soft pastel tomes of promarkers, and used white gel pen for highlights. the pale blue sky and grass is chalk applied using a cotton wool ball so make it really soft.

The background paper is from my stash (I don't even know where its from its so old!)  behind is blue pearlescent card as is the border which was punched using a Martha Stewart punch, and a bit of ribbon added.

I hope you like it!

Crafting with friends - new DT!!

Hi Everyone

Wow I am so excited to have been accepted onto a new DT.  I was kindly invited by Fiona to join the fabulous team at crafting with friends a couple of weeks ago and I've been dying to tell you!  There are some talented ladies on the DT and I can't wait to work with them!

For my first challenge we have been kindly sponsored by Moonflower, and I was given this lovely image to work with.  I was so tempted to colour her blonde - but she looked too much like a certain frosty Disney princess!!

Here is my first card for them...

I coloured her with promarkers and used a white gel pen for the highlights.  Its difficult to see in the photo but I used loads of glitter on her wings and snowflakes.

The flowers are some new stamps I brought at a small craft fair a couple of weeks ago from a company called Honey doo stamps.  I stamped and embossed on velum using wow champagne powder, before colouring the back with blue promarkers, cutting them out and shaping before layering.  Added a pearl in the middle of each.  Around the flowers is some dried flowers from Anne Marie designs..

The papers are digi papers all mounted on cream card stock, that was distressed using frayed burlap.

Hop on over to the blog and check it out, enter our little competition and the other DT inspiration!
