and relax.....

Hello bloggers

I feel like I've been working for months, but in effect its only been 7 days, with a prospect of one more day before I can get a day off.

Were going through some changes at work at the moment and so I'm trying to keep my head down and get on with stuff, but this means putting in some hours to impress the new bosses!

So tonight after Harrison went off to sleep, I have taken some time to relax and create. As I've made it, I may as well share it!

Sentimental Sunday challenge 203

Hi everyone

Its Sunday - so chance once again to pop over to Sentimental Sundays to have a go at our challenge, and phew what a challenge this on was for me.

I must have tried a hundred different techniques and layouts for this.

The sponsor is Aurora, who have some incredible images, and the DT were lucky enough to be given one to use.

The image is so beautiful I was reluctant to use too many embellishments and bits as I wanted the image to be the only focal point

The challenge came from a photo, it has so many gorgeous colours and I felt obliged to include as many as possible and a few more!

here's my creation:

Image coloured with promarkers -so many I forgot to wrote the colours down!!
the background is water colour on coated card
sentiment stamp - lili of the Valley

Please stop over at SS and check out the other talented DT for inspiration, and I look forward to seeing your fabulous entries!

See you all soon - Happy Easter everyone!

coloured with promarkers (skin - almond, blush, sunkissed pink.  Dress and bows - duck egg, turquoise, Aegean, arctic blue, french navy.  Hair - Vanilla, sandstone, tan, caramel, cocoa and henna)
Flowers - wild orchid crafts
Sentiments - Love set at Lili of the valley
Butterfly cut from digi image and glittered

two posts in one day! - Sentimental Sundays challenge 202 Wet or dry embossing

Here it is, post number 2!

Not quite so late, but still a little...

This week we are sponsored by the cutting cafe

And the challenge is wet or dry embossing.

here is my little inspiration using one of the sponsors images

A CAS design using only the image provided.

I printed and cut out the flowers several times, and coloured them, the boots and the umbrella handle using promarkers.  The main part of the umbrella was embossed and i dusted with a little chalk so the embossing stood out more.
The sentiment was also from the sponsors image.

Hope you like it! please stop by at Sentimental Sundays to see the DT inspiration - and don't forget to add a sentiment to your entry!

I'd like to enter this into:

Paper creators crafts - Spots and Dots
4 Crafty Chicks - Use Polka Dots
Shellys Image - April Showers bring May Flowers
Ruby's rainbow - April Showers

Thanks so much for stopping by - check out the challenge at Sentimental Sundays and please leave me some love in the form of a message - just so I know you've been.
