June new releases

Hello everyone

Phew its been a hot one here, as a schedule this post it's soo hot in my craft room the glue is drying before I can stick things together!  Oh well, living in England, I have to make the most of the odd days we get every year that we can actually class as summer days!

Its also very strange because as it is officially the hottest day of the year, I started making Christmas cards today... I know, its still early, but I have a couple of craft fairs this year so I'm making stock to take. I'll try and remember to post some!

Onto the new release.

All the new images from All Dressed up are available on Etsy.  And here they are... they are simply stunning!
Summer Breeze

Flower Pots

New Hair Do

Daddy's Day

I was lucky enough to be given 'New Hair do' and isn't she amazing!  I tried a couple of different cards with her, fussy ones and shabby chic ones, but the best by far was this very clean and simple card.  She is so striking, she didn't need anything else!

I of set her on the page and coloured her using promarkers.  I typed the sentiment using a free font, matted and layered it all and glued together.

I hope you like her!

Please hop over to the blog to check out the other talented DT work, and for further inspiration.  Also on there is details of this months 'anything goes' blog challenge for you to win images, or our Facebook comp is Monochromatic, oh and you can enter both if you wish!

All dressed up June Challenge

Hello Bloggers

its the 15th of the month, which can only mean time for a brand new challenge on our All dressed up blog.

As ever its anything goes (using an All dressed up image) and if you want freebies to get you started, there are some on out blog page you can use. our blog can be found by clicking here on this handy link :)

The image I've used was a new release only a couple of months ago, but she's so elegant and pretty I couldn't resist using 'feeling spoilt' found in the Etsy shop here

The background is a Lili of the valley sentiment that I enlarged and printed in patterned paper.  I then paper pieced it onto a yellow background printed with the same sentiment so I could line them up.

She was coloured using promarkers with a touch of black spectrum noir pencil on the hair for added shine.

I then fussy cut her out and using glue gel for dimension, stuck her onto the front.

I love the way this came out - so simple but so elegant - I hope you'll agree.

Id like to enter this into:
Create and Makes -  anything goes (with yellow as twist)
Passion for promarkers - add a sentiment
Stinkin inkers - Girls just wanna have fun
Dream valley challenges - Square cards

Thanks for dropping by - I'll see you again soon

Summer time's here part 2

Hello again everyone

So yesterday I promised another card I made as I got carried away picking papers.  As I opening my drawer I found myself saying (to myself out loud strangely enough!) ooo that one, no. That one, orrrr how about that one AND that one???

I ended up making both of these in one go as I was on a roll!

Again I picked a LoTV summery stamp to make this one.

So slightly stronger colours on this pinks and peachy tones.  And this stamp I coloured using my Zig clean colour makers and some water.

The flowers and leaves are a Susan's garden Dahlia die, coloured with promarkers and shaped. finished using a piece of ruched ribbon from my stash.

Hope you like it and are now feeling a little more Summery!

I'd like to enter this into:

summer time's here!

Hello everyone

I cannot believe today is the first of June - half way through another year already!  Its almost time to start making those Christmas cards again, but before I start thinking frost with red and greens, I'll take time to look out of my open window, breathe in the smell of freshly cut grass and remember it is still summer time!

I picked out this lovely stamp and some summery papers and thought I'd make something pretty, and then I saw some different paper and continued to make something else pretty, so I'll post one today, and the other tomorrow.

Here is todays make using the cute mouse from the Lili of the valley trio set.

He is a Digi stamp so I resized him, but then lightened the outline using craft artist so he had as a sketched look.

I coloured him using promarkers and a pencil to sketch in a couple of lines further adding to the sketched look. When printing him, I added the LoTV sentiment too from the sketchy wishes set.
The papers are a combination of Anne Marie designs, and a pink dotty paper I had from a Digi kit.

Flowers and lace from my stash, with a die cut label shape, all aged with distress inks and layered up.

I hope you like him as much as I do.

I'd like to enter this into:
Crafting by designs - anything goes
lemon shortbread - anything goes
613 avenue create - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by and reading my ramblings!
See you soon
