All dressed up June release 2

Hiya everyone

as promised here is part two of this months inspiration for the new releases over at All dressed up (click here to purchase them!)

This one I used Z is for Zebra - as soon as I saw this I immediately though new baby, but its so versatile that it could be used for any child's birthday, thank you or any other occasion.

For this one, I coloured the zebra in pinks and creams from my promarkers collection and fussy cut her out.  I then used papers from the same Nitwit Kit I used for perfect day called 'Authentic' and matted/layered to form the inside of my card.  I cut out an aperture and a frame to match the inside.  The verse is a freebie from a scrapbook page that I added, changed the font and printed to match the aperture.  the front was then finished with some doodles, a waltzing matilda stamp and some cosmic shimmer PVA pearls

Please hop over to the blog to check out the DT inspiration or go to our facebook page.  On both of these we have regular challenges for you to enter for the chance of winning some of Wendy's images.  All we ask is that you use one of the All dressed up stamps and that you hand colour your entry, oh and the blog is anything goes, but Facebook has a monthly theme!

I'd like to enter this into:
crafting from the heart - anything goes
613 Avenue Create - anything goes
lil patch if crafty friends - anything goes
Kitty Bee - baby
crafting with an attitude - anything goes
7 kids college fund - anything goes
I love promarkers - for a child

Thanks once again for stopping by and for leaving such lovely messages, it really does make my day to read them

See you soon

All Dressed up - June Challenge

Hi Everyone

I've just noticed that we are only a few days away from the longest day - its a shame here in the UK we haven't had much sunshine to enjoy being outdoors.  Don't know what your weathers like but its pouring with rain here again.  WHERE IS THE SUNSHINE!!

Anyway - while its raining and if you looking for something to do, please pop over to our latest blog challenge at All Dressed up blog.

You have the chance to win 3 of Wendy's amazing images from Etsy (and trust me you will have trouble choosing!) .  It is anything goes with the only rules being that you must use an All Dressed Up image (And if you don't have one check out the blog for freebies)

Also if you hop over to our blog, when we reach 3000 followers we'll be giving away another freebie!  so why not hop over to Facebook here and join us.  There is another monthly challenge here too but with a theme.  This month is 'things with wings'

on to my inspiration, and this month I made a bunting banner.  My good friend has recently given birth to a little boy called Jake, so I made this to hang in his nursery.

Its using pirate puppy and it's a pirates life.  I printed double sided card from a Kay Miller digikit and cut out a couple of elements that came with the kit to embellish the banner.  The bunting and letters were from a x cut set I've had for ages.  I coloured the images with promarkers and fussy cut them out, arranging all the items along the flags before securing onto a piece of string.

I hope she liked it - she said she did?

Thanks so much for stopping by and looking, please leave me a nice comment as it makes me feel all warm and gooey inside!

See you soon

I used papers from a Nitwit digi kit called 'Authentic' which is Navy blue and pink (my new favourite colour combination!)  from this kit I also used the roses and sentiment on the bottom of the easel card.

I coloured the image using promarkers and used a tattered lace square dotted die to cut it all out before folding and layering it all up.

Crafting Saturday!

Hello everyone

I got a rare treat today.  Hubby has played with our little boy, Harrison, all day and told me to have day to myself in the craft room.  He's cooked tea, washed up and everything today giving me a well earned rest.  How lucky am I.!!!  my washing is mounting up, and the house needs dusting and vacuuming, but there's always tomorrow - right!

I've made a few little things today, the first of which is here.

I made an 5 x 7 easel card, using a Nitwit digi kit called Sympathy and a Lili of the valley stamp.

I coloured her with promarkers and used LOTV sentiment stamp and LOVE.  I added ribbon and some bling, but everything else came from the digi kit.  It is designed as a sympathy kit, but Ijust love forget-me-nots, they are my all time favourite flower so couldn't resist them.  Everything was printed and fussy cut out, before being built up on the card.

hope you like her!

I'd like to enter this into
Crazy 4 challenges - make it floral
Alphabet challenge - G is for girlie
Creative fingers - anything goes
Crafts galore - anything goes

Cute as a button - anything goes

Crafting with Friends - June 2nd Challenge

Hi there everyone

Happy half term to all the parents in the UK - I hear all the parents breathing a sigh of relief, and the teachers gulping down the wine dreading Monday morning!

Its time once again for another challenge over at Crafting with friends.  As usual its anything goes and we are kindly sponsored by Sheepski designs (Hello Andrea if you're reading!)

Andrea is starting out with some fabulous images found here on Etsy

I used Kitty Mannequin Model.  I thought she looked so sophisticated that she didn't need loads of embellishment, so I went for texture and dimension instead.

I printed the cherry papers from pink petticoat which is sadly now retired :(   And I paper pieced her skirt.  I then coloured the remainder of the image in promarkers before fussy cutting her out.

I layered up the cherry papers on black for contrast, embossed a piece of plain white card stock with a little heart embossing folder and layered this also onto black with a punched edge.  both this and the image are attached with foam pads to give dimension.  The flowers are a sizzix stamp and die set that I coloured again with promarkers before die cutting them out (my tiny sapphire machine is a godsend for these small dies, they don't move about as much!)

I finished the card with glossy accents on her belt, bag and the roses, and a stamped sentiment in the corner

I hope you like her!

I'd like to enter this into:
Jades sparkling butterflies - anything goes
Crafting with an attitude - anything goes
Aud Sentiments - anything goes
7 kids college fund - anything goes
Crafting for all seasons - make it girly
I love promarkers - inspired by a song (Model by Kraftwerk, showing my age now!)
Through the craftroom door - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by - please leave me a message if you land here.  Blog emails are so much nicer than junk from wowcher or car insurance firms!

See you soon
