New fluffy Besties

Hi Everyone.

As soon as I saw this new range from Besties, I knew I had to have some, I think they are so gorgeous!

I also saw red spots before I'd even started colouring her, which then turned into primary colours and spots!

She was coloured with a combination of Promarkers and spectrum noir colour blend pencils.  The spots on her dress and shoes were done with a white gen pen.

The papers are from various paper and card stashes with two matching die cut flowers (the middles are cosmic shimmer pearl drops) with a sentiment from an old stamp set.

I just love it!  I may send this to my Aunty for her birthday.

I'd like to enter this into:

All dressed up - new release, Love birds

Hello all

I told you it was coming - here's the second image from the new releases

If you missed it last time - there are some amazing new releases in the Etsy store here (as well as some much loved oldies!)

This time I used 'love birds'

Avery simple card using spotty background matted and layered on black to make it pop.  The image was fussy cut out, coloured with promarkers and copious amounts of blue glitter added!

I added a computer generated 'you' and the heart frame was cut using my 'scan and cut'.  The whole thing was mounted on foam pads for dimension.

So easy, but it can be adapted for wedding, engagement as well as valentine (there is always next year) or even Feb 29th - Single ladies time to propose to your blokes!!!

Please stop by our blog and check out the inspiration from our talented DT, and while your there enter our challenge to win more of Wendy's gorgeous images.  Don't like blogs - no escape - try Facebook!

Thanks for dropping by - please leave me a message!

See you soon

Crafty friends GDT

Hi everyone

I was asked to be part of a GDT for crafty friends and jumped at the chance to help out.  They have a new challenge over on their blog with the theme Flowers.  All Dressed Up is sponsoring this - so hop on over for a chance to win some of Wendy's fabulous images!

Spring is only just around the corner - so to get us in the mood I've made a card in some lovely bright cheerful colours.

I used 'love my puppy' from the etsy shop here and coloured her with promarkers.

The flowers were cut out using my scan and cut and shaped and glued.  The tulips I brought from wild orchid crafts.  The backing paper is from a Lili of the Valley pad (that they have sadly discontinued now) all mounted onto a scan and cut shaped card.

I hope you like it - I love this image with the cute dog!!

See you all very soon

All dressed up new release - Time for a cuddle.

Hello everyone

Oh my - have we got a treat for you this month at All Dressed Up!  its release time and all of these images are simply stunning.  It maybe a difficult choice if you want to purchase one!

Here they are:

Always time for a cuddle

Pitter patter raindrops

Love birds

Love you

you can buy all of these and many more from etsy here

I made three cards for this release - but you'll have to 'watch this space' for the second image!  The first one I made using Always time for a cuddle - isn't she just the cutest!

I made her supersized on a 6 x 6 piece of card and coloured her with promarkers. (I finally finished the set thanks to a sale online! woo hoo!)  I then cut around the edge leaving a shaped card at the front.  Inside I glued a piece of backing paper in similar colours.

A really simple card but so effective.... and then I thought hmmmm I could make something not so CAS too - so I made this one!

This one was cut and dimension added by creating decoupage with four layers.

The papers were from a card set of dotty papers and the floral is from a LOTV paper pad.  added flowers and the stamp shape are also LOTV stamps coloured and cut out with added Cosmic shimmer pearls.  finished with flowers, raffia and a sentiment.

two very different cards from one image!  look out for the next one soon!

All dressed up challenge

Hi everyone

It's time again for another challenge over at All Dressed Up.  This time I used a cute cupcake design by Wendy.  I brought some fab stamps about birthdays and cakes and remembered I hadn't got any cake digi's, then I found this one in the store at Esty here.

I actually made two different cards with the one stamp, just to show how one image can be used in very different ways!

This first one was using some pink petticoat papers that I distressed and inked before matting onto black card.  I used bright watercolour pens to paint the image.  Finished with some silky crush ribbon for the bow and some flowers from my stash for the arrangement.  The sentiments (both outside and inside) are from a 'my favourite things' set I brought from a Facebook seller

I'd like to enter this into:
Crafting with Friends - anything goes
Creative fingers - anything goes
QKR stampede - yummy yummy
Reasonable ribbon - anything goes with ribbon
Your next stamp - colour combo

This second card is using papers from an old paper pad.  I made an easel base and matted and layered papers with dark brown card.  The cakes were coloured with distress inks and then covered with clear glitter.

Finished with pink cosmic shimmer pearl drops and some bakers twine.  Again the sentiment is from 'my favourite things' set.

I'd like to enter this one into:
Crafting with friends - anything goes
Creative fingers - anything goes

I hope you like them both!

I look forward to seeing what you make and hope you enter our challenge - oh and if you want more inspiration check out the blog, Facebook or Pinterest.  Our Facebook challenge is currently hearts if you want to combine for a greater chance of winning.  All we ask for all our challenges, is that you use an All Dressed up image (and there's freebies here if you haven't got one!) and you get the chance to win three of the fabulous images!

See you all very soon!

Love
