Hi Everyone
Its that time of year again... end of July must mean its time to start thinking about Christmas. I always make a start early, but this year I'm hoping for a craft stall at the local church Christmas fair, so I'm making extra cards!
My first is a Lili of the valley image that I just adore. I brought it recently when they had their sale.
I coloured him with distress inks and colour washed all around the background, adding frantage for a snowy look. The Backing papers are from an old set (I can't remember what make they are though - i have so many bits lying about!). The die cuts are both Britannia dies - one Ivy and the other pine cones, also inked with distress inks. The sentiment is from an Imagination craft set. Finished with a bow and a sparkly gem.
I'd like to enter this into:
Crafting for all seasons - Christmas in July
Whimsy inspiration - Christmas in July
going grey with scrap creations - Christmas in July
Craft dee bowz - anything goes with a handmade bow
Crafty Boots - Christmas in July
Ooh-la-la creations - Christmas in July
thanks for taking the time to look, please leave me a message if you stop by here :)
See you soon

Simply cards and Papercraft
Hi Everyone
As you know i work with some amazing ladies at All dressed up, designing cards and projects using the fabulous images drawn by Wendy Burns and we were lucky enough to be invited to make something to showcase some freebies Wendy was giving away free with the magazine.
The freebies are both digi images and papers, so it's worth picking up a copy of the magazine so get these.
Sadly the original publication was discontinued and another magazine picked up the article. Sadly not all of our designs made it into the final page and they were all so stunning. the team worked so hard.
I was one of the lucky few who's card made it into print and into the magazine, so here's my card made using the wedding camper van.
I decided to make a wedding invitation. I used 2 x 6 inch square cards and cut them diagonally on the front to form flaps. These were decorated with the free papers, and a paper punched lace border added. inside I cut another piece of card and printed the invitation wording onto it, punched a hole in the top and used twine .
I then coloured the image and fussy cut it out, adding it to band that went around the envelope, finishing it with two buttons for decoration.
I did take my own photos of the image on my phone, but due to a gremlin, they became corrupted when I tried to transfer them, however i think the magazines photography is far better than mine anyway!
Why not nip out to the newsagents now and pick up your copy to get hold of 9 images plus bonus backing papers, all for free.
Thanks for stopping by!

two days running!
Hi everyone
My Posts are a little bit like British buses, nothing for ages, then lots together!
I promised yesterday I'd be back today and this time with an All dressed up card, and a Lili of the valley one too!
This first one is made using time to share image from the fabulous all dressed up! I actually won this before I became part of their DT, speaking of which come back tomorrow for some exiting news about some freebies in a magazine from the lovely Wendy Burns!

Coloured with my trusty promarkers, I used some digi papers from a polka doodles set for the background, and did some faux stitching all around the edges to make it pop.
The flowers are a Sue Wilson die coloured with distress inks (see below for how I got them speckled) and the leaves are also a Sue Wilson die.
The butterflies are from an old die set - I think Marianne but i can't be sure as the packaging is loooong gone!
To get the speckled look, I used a distress ink pad on a glass mat and spritzed water onto it making it form droplets. I then leave it for a few moments to start and dry up, then add the white card to the drops. That gives it the dotty look.
Id like to enter this into
alphabetchallenge - K is for kind thoughts
Fab n funky - flowers
My second card surprisingly isn't coloured with promarkers - instead I had another practice with the distress inks.
The image was coloured using a variety of coloured distress inks, then die cut using a spellbinders die. The leaves you may recognise from above, but this time the flowers are a small flower punch, coloured with distress inks then shaped using an embossing tool. The centre is yellow glitter.
The sentiment is a crafters companion one, and the whole thing is layered onto Anne Marie designs spotty card.
Id like to enter this into:
613 Avenue create - anything goes
Crafty friends challenge - anything goes
Simply papercraft - anything goes
Simon says stamp Wednesday - Furry Friends
Creative card crew - Die cuts (the oval and the leaves are die cuts)
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your lovely comments - its appreciated!
Love

Hello Again!
Hi everyone
You may have noticed a lack of posts recently - well that's because all of my DT's are on summer breaks and I thought I'd take one too.
I've been busy at work and getting ready for my little boy to start school in September, so I took the chance to have a bit of a crafting rest, but I'm back now raring to go!
Anyway - 'enough rambling' I hear you cry - 'get on with the projects'... so here they are.
This first one was made for my friend who was leaving at work - I'm going to miss her, but when I saw this tiddly inks image I though of her immediately!
Coloured with promarkers, the image and sentiment are both Tiddly inks. The backing card is from Anne Marie designs
I'd like to enter this into:
Creative knockouts - summer fun
Cute card Thursday - Ladies only
Alicibel challenge - summer
Crafty catz weekly - summer
Creative corner - summer fun
This next one is another tiddly inks design, one of my favourite images
again coloured with promarkers. The card is from the same set, and I've embossed the top layer. The wiggly lines are a spellbinders die set. The sentiment is computer generated then die cut using small circles.
I'd like to enter this into:
Polkadoodles - add some embossing
crafting with attitude - anything goes
Addicted to stamps - make your mark
Fantastic Tuesday - in the garden
Papertake weekly - anything goes
I've scheduled another post for tomorrow - so check back in for another couple of cards tomorrow night too!
Thanks for stopping by - I know I've neglected my blog a bit recently, but I really appreciate those of you who stop by and check it out, especially when you leave m,e some love!
See you soon
