Hi everyone
Still sunning myself on a beach, but by the power of technology able to post our latest challenge at Sentimental Sundays. (Blogger allowing of course!)
This week entitled moche, coffee, latte etc, we are kindly sponsored by scrappers delight
and I made this...
I had a digi kit that came with craft artist called cocoa latte, and thought it would be perfect for this card - see the insert for the cute coffee mugs!
The backing paper was also from the kit and I used the punch feature to punch the heart border before layering onto dark brown card.
She was coloured with Promarkers and spectrum noir pencils. The flowers are also from the digi kit I cut them out and added Brown glitter to the centres, Finally I used a swirly flourish die for the leaves, a couple of gems and that was here complete!
Hopefully the Pina colada's are flowing rather than cups of coffee, but either way, please stop by to check out my talented teamies and give our challenge a whirl!
See you in a couple of weeks!

Sentimental Sundays - with sympathy
Hello everyone
Here's to hoping my scheduling works on blogger as I'm advance posting for the next few weeks while I'm sunning myself in Cyprus. We have a lovely house-sitter who's taking care of the dogs, but its a bit much to ask her to post for me!! The next few posts will have been written a while ago, so please forgive the lack of personality or references to the world in general I hope you can forgive me!
Back to reality - over at SS we have a very sad but necessary occasion for making cards. Sadly at some point we all have to make a sympathy card, and often this is difficult. Our kind sponsor at Pinkydolls has provided some gorgeous images that can be used for such a sad occasion - but equally could be used for other occasions too.
I wanted to make this a nice clean simple card with the image as the main focus as I don't want to detract from the sad message.
Here is my inspiration for you:
She was coloured in a combination of promarkers and spectrum noir pencils. The sentiment is computer generated and I matted and layered onto a piece of pearlescent purple card stock.
I'm so sorry if anyone is having to make this card because of a lost loved one!
hugs

Lieu days are great!
Hello everyone
anyone who has read my previous posts will know i worked all weekend, now, while this sucks, it does mean I have a day off in the week to make up for it, and this meant a whole crafting day for me!
Its my Mother-in-law's 70th Birthday next week, so I've been busy making her cards and I also took the time to colour and make up a mega cute tiddly inks card.
Here's two of my several projects today:
this is Fairy wishes from Tiddlyinks. Coloured with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils. The back ground was made with a torn piece of copy paper, distress inks and my duster brush. mounted onto black card, with the Tiddlyinks sentiment too.
I'd like to enter this one into:
Aud Sentiments - cute plus a sentiment
Creative knockouts - Sentimentally yours
One sweet challenge - things with wings
613 Avenue Create - anything goes
Through the purple haze - Spring colours
For my Mother-in-Laws card, I cut out the background shapes on my silhouette. then i distressed the egdes to roughen them up a bit. The background was then made using Victorian velvet and tea dye distress inks and various stamps such as splodges and script.
I used some fibres and various die cuts to make the ivy and the large flower, then flowers from my stash for the rest. The frame is a paper clay one and the sentiment is a Simon Says stamp from a set. finished with some butterfly stamps from HunkyDory and some stickles.
I'd like to enter this one into:
Crafting by designs - Focus on sentiment
Fab and funky - flora and Fauna
Whimsy inspires - anything but a square card
Card and scrap - flowers
Two very different cards - but I like them both for different reasons.
Thanks for stopping by - please leave me some love in the comments box - it makes my day to get those little emails that are not junk!
See you soon

Sentimental Sundays - Funny sentiment
Hi everyone
Our challenge over at Sentimental Sundays this week is add a funny sentiment. Our fantastic sponsor is scribbles, but as soon as I saw the title I knew I had a perfect stamp set to use for this.
I brought these rubber stamps a long while ago from eBay after seeing them on create and craft a few years ago. I love them, but have only used them a couple of times. They make great funny cards. The stamp set is called Ethel and Murray and here's my card:
The backing papers are from a Kay Miller digi kit called fruitilicious. I just love the bright happy colours! I matted using black card stock and both the sentiment and image are from the above stamp set. Of course I then coloured her with promarkers!!
Thanks for stopping by and looking into my little world of craftiness - Please stop over at Sentimental Sundays and check out the other DT work, and why not give our challenge a go!
I'd like to enter this into:
Fashionable stamping - old favourites
Pile it on - Not cute
ruby's rainbow - Humour
Crafting with an attitude - anything goes/spring fever
Look forward to seeing what you make! see you soon

Hello everyone
Over at All Dressed up we have another fantastic anything goes challenge. The only criteria we ask is that you use one of Wendy's gorgeous images and if you don't have any you can find some freebies here. So what are you waiting for!
Here's my inspiration for this challenge using love to shop found here
I coloured these lovely ladies with promarkers and mounted onto some dotty paper I brought from Anna Marie designs. The ribbon I dug out of my stash and the sentiment is computer generated then die cut using a tag shape. All finished with a white gel pen and some black faux stitching.
I hope you like it - please head over to all dressed up and check out my talented teemies inspiration, and I hope to see you in the challenge!

Friday Sketch Challenge - 94#
Happy Friday everyone!
I'd like to say hurrah - it's the weekend, but I'm working all weekend so I can't (sad face!) However it does mean I'll get Monday off so I can spend a whole day in my craft room so I guess it's only another couple of days isn't it!!
Here's the sketch this week:
Friday sketch challenge are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up (Thank you again Wendy!)- so here's my interpretation of the sketch using Baseball bear.
I've coloured him with promarkers, and cropped the ball to make the banner on the left hand side. The sentiment is computer generated.
The background is embossed with a crafters companion texture folder (distressed), all matted on black card. I nice simple approach today!
Hope you like him - I think hes adorable!
Why not stop by and give it a go to win some gorgeous images and if not - check out the DT inspiration at least.
See you soon

Here's my card
I don't very often use pink - but for a change and as its really girly!
The card is a cut using a press cut die and using some backing papers from my stash. This gorgeous image was coloured with promarkers and with some finishing touches of glitter.
The die cut flowers are Sue Wilson dies and these are too finished with some glitter glue. The sentiment is a Marianne die with matching stamp.
Thanks for stopping by here please do hop over to our challenge for a chance to win some fabulous images and check out the DT's other stunning cards too!

All dressed up - May release
Hi fellow crafters (and anyone else who's happened upon my little piece of the internet!)
Wendy has once again drawn some fabulous images for All Dressed Up and they are out for general release here on Etsy. They are all soooo pretty.....
Birthday Butterfly
Spring time
Baseball bear
I love sunny days
I used the baseball bear for my card and all coloured up he looks like this:
I die cut circles and used this as my card base. I recently brought a stand die from Tim Holtz collection so I've also die cut this and attached it on the back. The backing papers are from pink petticoat called honeycomb
The bear was coloured with promarkers and fussy cut out. The sentiment is computer generated, cut up and distressed with chipped sapphire distress ink. All finished with some punched stars and some ribbon.
I hope you like these new designs, please hop over to All dressed up and check out some amazing creations from my fellow DT's, and if you buy one, why not enter our challenge to win some more fabulous All dressed up images!
I'd like to enter this into:
Paperminutes - Blue
Pennys Paper crafter - anything goes
ruby's rainbow - anything goes
Digi Chooseday - anything goes
Papertake - anything goes

Senimental Sundays - work it out!
Hello everyone
Welcome to an extended weekend! Over at Sentimental Sundays today we have a new challenge. This one entitled work it out. This has been inspired by so many of us that realize its only a few weeks until summer holidays begin, and most of us don't have the beach body we'd like, so this is a little challenge to try and motivate us. I am however content with not having a beach body, but enjoying to occasional glass of wine and a cake. Maintaining a beach body is far too much like hard work!!
Any way - challenge is sponsoerd by
And here's my card made with one of their fab images
I printed her twice, once onto smooth card for colouring, and again on a piece of copy paper adding the computer generated sentiment. I coloured the image on the smooth card using promarkers. Then I fussy cut out (leaving a very slight edges all the way around) and sprayed it with Stick and spray. I then used this as a mask over the coloured image and used Dusty Concorde and Victorian velvet distress inks to create a aura effect. removed the mask and et voila!
Hope you like her.
Thanks for dropping by, please leave me a message if you do!
Lots of love

Friday Sketch Challenge #93
Happy Friday everyone
Yay it's the weekend again!! is it bad to wish your life away for the weekend????
Friday can only mean another fab challenge at Friday Sketch chllenge, this time with the chance to win a $8 voucher at
All we need you to do is make a card that follows this sketch
Here's my card. Made with a gorgeous Magnolia stamp.
The backing papers are from a first edition pad called 'The promise.'
I coloured her with Distress inks (not a promarker in site lol!) The sentiment is from a Waltzing mouse set and flowers from my trusty stash.
I've even finished this one with an insert... My new habit is to try and put one in so I can bag up for the charity box. I have a great big box full of unfinished cards that need inserts that I keep putting off, so I've decided to try (and I say try!) and complete each one properly! We'll see how long that lasts eh!
Anyway enough rambling.. please hop over to Friday Sketch, check out the DT inspiration and enter our challenge!
I'd like to enter this into:
Creative knockouts - finish the inside of your card
Party time Tuesdays - anything goes
Through the craft room door - anything goes
Marvelous Magnolia - Girly
Paradise of magnolia - lots of flowers
The Crazy Challenge - cute as a button
See you all soon
