Hi everyone
Having returned from a well earned rest at Centre Parcs - I'm pleased our latest challenge at Sentimental Sundays is spring flowers.
Whilst in the gorgeous English Countryside - there are so many lovely colours starting to come through with pretty spring flowers, so much more cheerful than the drab winter greys and browns! I love springtime, and with the changes to the clocks in the UK it also means we get extra daylight to enjoy at night too! woo hoo....
Our very kind sponsor this week is:
and I've made this with a very happy stamp.
Coloured with a variety of promarkers. The background papers are from Bearly mine. The flowers are die cut from white card and coloured with distress inks before I shaped them. All finished with a bit of lace and twine from the stash, and of course my usual sparkle from stickles
Hope she brightens your day too! please hop over the SS and enter our challenge, and check our my fellow talented DT's inspiration.
I'd like to enter this into:
crazy for challenges - Springtime
Susie Bees - anything goes/add a sentiment
Creative corner - Spring has sprung
Simply Papercraft - anything goes
Thanks for dropping by, please leave me a comment - it makes my day to read them!

Sentimental Sundays - buttons, brads or bling
Hi everyone
Sunday means another Sentimental Sundays Challenge - this time use buttons, brads or bling.
I chose bling on my project in the form of diamante gems and glitter. The image is from our kind sponsor Sami stamps who is also donating the prize of a $12 voucher to use in her store.
She is coloured with promarkers and cut out using am oval die from tattered lace. die cut flowers coloured with distress inks, and the backing paper is from a papermania capsule collection.
the bling comes from tiny diamante's on the flowers in her hair, and the mega glittery butterfly.
please hop over to SS and check out the DT inspiration, and add a button, brad or some bling to join in...
See you soon - thanks for your lovely comments!

Friday Sketch 90#
Hi everyone
I cant believe its again time for another challenge over at FSC. How time flies!
This time the sketch looks like this:
and we are very kindly sponsored by Rick St Dennis offering a $5 voucher for use in his Zibbit store.
Here's my interpretation using Colleen for Althea inage
The background is kraft card, used through a crafters companion embossing folder that looks like brick work. I inked the edges and across using gathered twigs distress ink.
The image is coloured with various promarkers and mounted on a spiky spellbinders die cut
The flowers are Tim Holtz tattered flowers, cut from watercolour card. they were inked with peeled paint and gathered twigs, and then I once again used the spotty technique when I dab the ink pad onto my mat, spray with water and dip the flowers into the ink. (thanks to my crafty tutor Sue for this technique!)
Cut ribbon to finish along with two glue gun gems (using a hot glue gun on the non stick mat, make a blob of glue and cover in glitter before it dries. You can make these and keep them in a pot for future - once again, thanks Sue!!)
Not my usual style - but I kinda like it!
Please hop over to FSC my blog colleagues and give our challenge a go, also to check out the otehr DT inspiration...
See you very soon

All dressed up - and loving spring time
Hello everyone
Firstly welcome to the new followers. It makes it all worth while when you realise people are actually appreciating the work you do, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to you all that take the time to read and comment!
It is once again time for another challenge over at All dressed up, with the chance to win some images of your choice, and of course, the prestigious badge.
My inspiration for you this time is this lovely little lady called 'love spring time'. I wanted something that lifted my mood, and as here in the UK the first signs of spring have started to appear, what better way than with her. Isn't she just gorgeous. You can find her, and Wendy's other fantastic images here
The backing papers are from a first edition pad. The image was coloured with promarkers (what else!) and distressed a little with Victorian velvet distress ink. The die cut background is a Marianne die I just adore. All finished with flowers that are a combination of die cut and brought. The big flower was die cut from a tattered flowers Tim Holtz die, and coloured using distress inks on a mat, wet with a spray bottle and then I dabbed the paper into the blobs, making the mottled/spotty effect. a bit of glitter and a couple of gems later and taa daa!
I'd like to enter this into:
Fairytale challenge - flower power
If you give a crafter a cookie - photo inspiration (i took the colours (green, pink and beige) and the
spring flowers)
613 Avenue create - anything goes
Thanks for stopping by, if you do, please leave me some love in the comments box
See you soon

Sentimental Sundays - Fairytale
Hello everyone
This is the first of two posts today for two DT's
Watch this space for the second, but for now, please check out our Sentimental Sundays challenge called 'fairytales'
This week we are kindly sponsored by Polka doodles. I have used a couple of these Octavia digi stamps before, and here's one called Octavia dragonfly.
The backing paper and insert are from the Octavia Digi kit. Imported into craft artist and printed out. A piece of white card with a die cut aperture laid over the top.
The image is coloured with promarkers and wings and flowers are covered with hunkydory fine glitter. The sentiment is one from a Waltzing muse set I recently brought from a Facebook site - bargain too!
The sentiment is edged with broken china distress ink and finished with three little pearls.
I'd like to enter this into:
I love promarkers - fantasy/fairy
Fairytale stampers - anything goes
Glitter and Sparkle (wings are glittery although not east to see in the photos!)
Fab n fun - focus on the image
Thank you for stopping by here to have a look - please check out the other DT inspiration here and give it a go. You can win 2 of Nicky Hall's fabulous images!
Your comments are appreciated - it always makes me smile to receive a happy message by email - rather than the usual junk you get!!
See you soon

ADU March releases
Hi Everyone
Its time once again for All dressed up new releases, and they are stunning!!!
Party frock
butterfly dreams
Summer days
A girl can't have too many shoes
Wow - aren't they just gorgeous!! They are all available here on etsy
Here's my inspiration using Party Frock. I just adore her....
The background was made using a torn piece of paper, some butterfly masks made from a stamp and post it notes and then covered with distress inks. I then used a script stamp in the same distress ink to place interest. finally I sprayed the whole background with crafters companion spray and sparkle (although you can't really tell from the photo!)
The image was coloured with promarkers before I fussy cut her out. finally I stamped a sentiment from a Simon says stamp set twice - once in blue, then only the word hello was over stamped in black. I positioned the image to look like she's standing on the line of the sentiment
Please stop by at the All Dressed Up challenge blog and after you've brought one of these fabulous stamps enter into our anything goes monthly challenge! we'd love to see your work!!
I'd like to enter this into:
Southern Girl challenge - get your girl on!
Addicted to stamps and more - clean and simple
Crafting for all seasons - girly girl
Modsquad challenge - Make a background
Thanks for dropping by, I look forward to reading your lovely messages.

Friday Sketch challenge 89
Hello everyone
Friday sketch challenge time again and this time our generous sponsor is:
and our super sketch by Carole looks like this:
Here's my interpretation of this sketch using one of Beccy's gorgeous images
I printed it off onto smooth paper and using distress inks and my duster brushes added stripes of colours, with a computer generated sentiment coloured the same. The strip is embossed black card using the crafters companion texture hessian. The background is again coloured with scattered straw distress ink, and a crackle stamp randomly stamped all across. I used texture paste through hessian to make the raised textured bits.
I hope you like it!
Please leave me a message - I love to read them! See you tomorrow for an exciting All Dressed Up launch!
Love
