Friday Sketch challenge - sketch 87

Hello everyone

Friday sketch is having another weekly challenge click here!
This fortnight we are very kindly sponsored by:

And the sketch is from the lovely Shirley

Here is my take on the sketch (and this week its not a square card either!)

I used one of my Tatty twinkle stamps. Shes been coloured with promarkers as have the flowers and butterflys.  The little flowers and butterflies were from the same stamp set.  The bigger flowers are a petal shape stamp, multistamped and shaped into a flower.  This stamp and the backing paper were from the recent weekender from craftwork cards.

I hope you like it!

I'd like to enter this into:
Loves rubber stamps - Pink and Girly
PDE linky party - use kids on your project
Sweet 7 design challenge - anything new (new papers and stamps)
Fairytale stampers - flowers

Thanks so much for looking!  please leave me a comment - it makes my day to read them! x

Sentimental Sundays - Anything goes

Hello Everyone

Its another fab challenge over at Sentimental Sundays, this time you can all join in - anything goes (as long as it has a sentiment!)

We are challenged by Sweet pea stamps - a fantastic site with some stunning digis!

Here's my card with a Ching-Chou Kuik image

She's been coloured with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils, with accents with a gel pen.  The background is a combination of Distress inks, speckled with water. I've over stamped using an inkylicious crackle stamp.  I've used a hexagon die cut and over the top layered a ribbon and bow.  The sentiment is computer generated then inked.  The whole thing topped with die cut flowers that I've inked and then dipped into my melt pot making them look shiny and almost like plastic, then a little black gem in the middle.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Sister act card challenge - anything goes
Aud sentiments - anything goes
Crafty creations challenge - something old, something new (new digi and die cut, old ribbon and inks)
Scrappers delight - anything goes with a twist favourite colour. Purple all the way!!!)
Craft dee bowz - handmade bow

Thanks for dropping by, please leave me a comment - it makes my day to read them! x

Sentimental Sundays - New beginnings

Happy Sunday everyone.

A busy weekend for me again, today we welcomed two new members to the Evans household, today we brought two gorgeous German Shepherd puppies.  They are just so beautiful, but already a handful, as I type I can here my husband fetching the mop for the fourth time today!!!

Back to the challenge in hand - this time new beginnings.  I thought long and hard about this one and realised that there is nothing like a new beginning than a life, so chose to do a new baby card.

Our lovely sponsor Bugaboo are offering a generous prize to our winner, so please hop over and check out the competition and enter our challenge.

This is a bugaboo image called Benny Blocks.  He's been printed twice then coloured with promarkers.  I've then cut out parts and layered them up for dimension adding a 'wink of Stella' onto the clouds and stars (although this is difficult to spot in the photo!).  I wanted this to be a CAS card, so opted for a plain white background.

I'd like to enter this into:

Chocolate, coffee and cards - no circles
Crafty Catz - new beginnings
Daring card makers - January Blues (the colour)
Stamping with Dragon - new beginnings
Aud sentiments - anything goes

Thanks for dropping by, please leave me a comment - it makes my day to read them! x

gorjuss girl...

Hi everyone

A rare opportunity for an extra blog post this week.  I thought I'd share this pretty gorjuss girl.  I haven't used them for a while, and while having a tidy up found my folder with them all in.  They are so pretty so I dug one out and made this...

She's been coloured with distress markers and water on watercolour card.  Papers are from a Gorjuss set.  Die cut frames, and a LoTV sentiment.  The flowers I made using the spiral technique - its a shame the light doesn't show them properly but they look stunning close up.  Finished with a distressed butterfly and ribbon from my stash.

I'd like to enter this into:

Fairytale stampers - flowers
Lil patch of crafty friends - anything goes
sweet stampin challenge - girly but no pink

Sentimental Sundays - Winter

Happy Sunday Bloggers!

It is Snday - and after a short Christmas break the amazing DT return with a wintery theme.

Very busy here at the moment, juggling work and a family is sooo tough, and to top it off we have just committed to buy two lovely puppies next week! eeekk!  Our lovely dog is sadly getting very old so to entertain Harrison and to fill a hole that is now almost inevitable we have picked out two fluffy German shepherd puppies.  So as of next Saturday I will be crafting with two bundles of fluff nipping at my feet, I must be mad!

Anyway back to the challenge, this week kindly sponsored by Scribbles designs

here's my wintery card

On shiny coated card I used frantage for snow fall, and then used several colours of distress ink for the background.  The image I decoupaged up and coloured with promarkers and glitter, finished with liquid pearls

The photo doesn't do it justice, unfortunately the light bounces off the coated card, but I tried in several different lights and with effects and sadly can't remove, so please forgive this...

Thanks for dropping by, please leave me a comment - it makes my day to read them! x

Wryn says Thank you!

Hello everyone

I'm posting today for the fun of it - well actually I'm posting to try and enter another fabulous design team.  Tiddly inks are having a DT over at their blog here

Another amazing digi stamp company, so it's got to be worth a go!

Here's my entry using Wryn grow a little love.  This is my favourite stamp - although I love the Christmas ones too, however I got a little tired of doing Christmas cards so I'll give it six months before I start with these again!

I used Wryn to say thank you to my friend for a lovely gift this year.

I coloured her with a combination of promarkers and Spectrum noir pencils )(that's why in places she looks a bit shiny, its the light reflecting of the pencil)  I used a wink of Stella on the flowers and shoes before coating with glossy accents which makes it look shimmery.

The papers are from a first edition pad called Adore.  distressed with walnut stain and a distressing tool.  flowers are die cut from Sue Wilson and the middles are a dab of hot glue covered with red glitter.  Butterflies are also die cut from a Tim Holtz die, layered up and string pearls added for their bodies

the stamp is a Simon says stamp sentiment set.  the mini heart stamps are from a LoTV set

I'd like to enter this into

tiddly inks DT call
Cards Galore encore - Anything Goes
CCC Digi creations - Digi/embellish
Polka doodles - tic tac toe (Right hand vertical column - die cut, faux stiching and polka dots)
As you like it - favourite shaped card (square - I just love 6 x 6 square cards as I like the symmetry.  Just big enough for the images and not so big you struggle to fill them!)
Cute card Thursday - anything goes
I Love Promarkers - Anything goes
moo -mania - Polka dots

Thanks for dropping by, please leave me a comment - it makes my day to read them!

See you Soon
Love

Friday Sketch challenge Sketch 85

Hello everyone

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a fantastic time over the break - unfortunately I've had to work most of it, but that's they joys of retail I guess!

It's time to welcome in the new year with a new sketch from FSC.

This one was designed by Claudia and looks like this:

This week we are sponsored by All dressed up and they will be giving away 2 fabulous digi stamps to the winner.

Mine looks like this:

The image was coloured with Promarkers.  The backing papers are from a forever friends pad called best of British and they are matted onto plain white card stock that I've edged with promarkers to match the image  the stars are punched and also coloured to match the image and edged with white gel pen for faux stitching.

Please drop over to our challenge and give it a go!

See you all soon
