Hi everyone!
Phew what a week I've had. Firstly I had problems with my delivery from B&Q (so crafting was indeed limited on Tuesday) then Tuesday evening through to yesterday afternoon, I picked up a tummy bug courtesy of my three year old who had it last week! Joys of nursery I guess!
Anyway - on with the challenge, This is sketch 62 by the lovely Marie.
and our generous sponsor this week is
giving you £5 of vouchers to spend in store.
I took the opportunity to use my latest 'all dressed up' digi stamp on this Thank you card. I coloured her using promarkers/flex markers (kin blush, sunkissed pink, coral. Hair - Tan, Sandstone, henna, shale, cocoa. Clothes - lilac, amethyst, aubergine) The papers were from a Kay Miller digi kit called hopes and dreams, as are the flowers which were all printed and cut out.
I'd also like to enter this into:
Inky Impressions - Monochromatic
Fan-Tastic Make it cute or sweet.
Passion for promarkers - Anything goes
Through the craft room door - Anything goes
613 Avenue Create - anything goes
All dressed up - Anything goes
So please stop over at Friday Sketch Challenge . if you need inspiration check out the other DT cards, and upload your take on our lovely sketch!
thanks for stopping by!

A day off - woo hoo!
Hello everyone
While waiting in all day for a furniture delivery - I am today taking some time in the craft room to make pretty things, blog hop and enter some challenges! Well if I have to wait in for the delivery and can't leave the house, what else is a girl to do!
my first post is to enter the following challenges:
Cutie Pie challenge -Shades of blue
Created with love - Anything goes
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes
Challenges 4 everybody - Anything goes
Great Impressions - Use something new
I brought some new papermania capsule papers from the range - I love the colour combination of dark blues and cream. The image is a Gorjuss girl stamped in memento ink and coloured with promarkers. (hair - cool grey 1 to 5 and black. Skin - Blush, sunkissed pink and coral. Dress flex markers - aquamarine, surf blue and soft aqua with cool grey on the tights. the books, almond, tan, sandstone, caramel) I then used the butterfly stamp that came with the stamp set to stamp onto the backing paper and cut them out. I cut along the patterned edge of the paper and used a new sizzix die to cut the doily. the sentiment was printed on the computer and cut out with a 2inch punch. the flowers were a woodware punch that I gave dimension and glitter to and it was finished (as usual) with ribbon and glitter!
the next one is using another Gorjuss girl - this time the one with the fox - but I've turned it into a little white dog!
this one is to enter:
Sketch n stash - sketch 131
Quirky crafts - use bird/bee or butterfly
Again using trusty promarkers and flexmarkers to colour her (skin - blush, sunkissed pink and coral. Hair - cool grey 1 to 5. Dress - light blossom, blossom, rose pink, water melon with grey on her tights. Dog also cool grey 1 to 3). Layered up with some really old scrapbook papers (I don't know where they are from sorry!) and I used a grey paper to mat and layer. the spotty paper is an embossing folder, that i rubbed victorian velvet distress ink over the top of. I used a white gel pen to add details - the butterfly is a marianne die that I added pearls to. again finished with paper flowers and a ribbon.
I hope you like them - off to find some more challenges, hop round some blogs that have very pretty things, and make more of my own. I may be back later depending on what time the delivery comes, but until then, if you drop by leave me a message so i know you have been. It makes my day to receive lovely messages!

Lovey Dovey
Hello fellow bloggers!
you may have noticed that already the retailers are pushing valentines day, so what better time to start making Valentines cards. This one was made ready for Sentimental Sundays latest weekly challenge - Lovey dovey, ahhhhh.
Made using a fabulous image from our sponsor this week
a very clean and simple card this week. the digi image and sentiment were designed on craft artist and printed out. I then printed the image for a second time. I've seen these photos with people and umbrellas where the background is black and white, but the image umbrella is coloured, so I took inspiration from this. I coloured the umbrella with promarkers (poppy, ruby, walnut and cool grey 5), and then shaded the image underneath using pencils, to give a sketched feel. The umbrella was then given some dimension with some pinflair glue gel, and here it is...
I hope you'll stop by at Sentimental Sundays and give us a go, and if you land here - I'd love for you to leave a comment, they make my day every time I get one!
Hope to see you all again soon

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #190 use more than 3 layers
Hi everyone
It's Sunday therefore its time for a new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays. This week we are sponsored by Paper Pretties
It's Sunday therefore its time for a new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays. This week we are sponsored by Paper Pretties
I used Fan-tastic for this oriental inspired card
I stamped black card with gold ink using a cherry blossom stamp and cut out panels before backing onto red card. The sentiment and Chinese letter were printed (They apparently mean peace if Google is to be believed!)
the gorgeous image was coloured with promarkers, and a gold permanent pen. Inside the flowers on her kimono, I added little red sequin flowers I picked up at the craft show a few years ago and I've never used them. Once all placed together with my 4 different layers, this is the end result!
I hope you like it - if so hop on over to Sentimental Sundays and give it a go!
I love to read your messages so if you do stop here - please leave me one!

Friday Sketch Challenge Sketch 61
Hello everyone
its time once again for the DT challenge at Friday Sketch challenge. This fortnights sketch is by Kelly and is kindly sponsored by Tiddlyinks for a $5 voucher
Here is my interpretation.
This is a card with a hidden extra - the heart is actually made of wood so 'I've made it into a cute door hanger/wall decoration for after the birthday is finished.
I made the flowers for a round the edge using a round punch and glue. the background to the card and the heart were card and using a butterfly stencil dabbed with distress inks (weathered wood and peeled paint).
I then chopped the background into the three strips and mounted on gold Mirri, and added ribbon
I then attached the heart using little Velcro dots to keep it securely in place.
I hope you like it! leave me a message so i know you've been.
With love

thinking of spring...
Hello fellow bloggers.
As I sit here in mt craft room looking out of the window at the damp and dreary weather, I can't help thinking of spring... it seems such a long time before we'll start to see flowers and sunshine again! To try and remember what spring feels like I've made this card in lovely bright and cheerful colours and even if the weather is rubbish, I'm still smiling!
She's a digi stamp from All Dressed up called 'I love my puppy' shes coloured with promarkers (almond, dusky pink and sun kissed pink for the skin, tan, caramel, henna, shale and coco for her hair, her clothes are blossom, rose pink, shocking pink, aqua marine, sky blue, flowers the same as the clothes and canary yellow, meadow green, moss) and she finished with bright pink glitter on the spots on her dress.
I've layered her on some pink mirri card and used co-ordinating ribbons. The sentiment was computer generated, and I copied the flowers from the image and coloured them too.
Its a CAS card to enter into:
Bearly mine - colour inspiration
All dressed up - CAS
Addicted to stamps - make your mark
Crafting for all seasons - all things bright and beautiful
Lexi's creations - anything goes
613 Avenue create - anything goes
Papertake - anything goes
I hope you like it - if you stop by I'd love for you to leave me a message, so I know you've been.

CAS for boys
Good morning everyone...
Hope everyone is OK. If you are reading this from the US, I have been watching about the awful weather some of you are getting, I do hope everyone is safe and warm. Stay indoors and get inky and messy, its far safer and warmer! Here in the UK, specifically in the Midlands we are just very wet, but thankful there are no extremes of weather causing us issues (with the exception of some very frizzy hair!!)
Anyway - on with the craft eh!
This is a card I made for my Nephew, from Harrison (i.e. his cousin) on his birthday. I used a new digi stamp from Whimsey Doodles. I printed it off with a computer generated sentiment before colouring with promarkers. (meadow green, moss green, olive green, vanilla, dusky pink, sun kissed pink, tan, henna, denim blue, cadet blue, warm grey 3, cool grey 1 and 2)
I then doodled the edge using a black pen.
I want to enter this into
Passion for promarkers - clean and simple
Glitter n sparkle - anything goes
Come and get it - something new (the digi stamp from whimsey doodles and the warm grey, meadow green promarkers)
I hope you like it, please leave me a message if you drop by, just so I know you've been it makes my day to read them!

Sentimental Sunday - 1st DT Challenge - 188, Alter something
Well bloggers
Here it is, not only my first DT challenge for Sentimental Sundays challenge 188 entitled 'Alter something' but also the first thing I've actually altered!!
this is such a great creative challenge, please hop over and have a go, and check out the other wonderful DT projects, you won't be disappointed!
I found an old note book in my craft room, and though it was a perfect medium to alter. Our sponsor this week is 'a day for daisies,
The backing paper is ordinary copier paper. I screwed it up and used tea dye and vintage photo distress inks with a duster brush. I then used the vintage photo to stamp the words and butterflies, before wrapping it around the note book. The image is 'pearls in my hair' from 'a day for daisy' that I promarkered (I know that's not a real word, but I like it anyway ;-).) (Cool grey 1 to 4, almond, dusky pink, sunkissed pink blush, vanilla, tan, sandstone, caramel and cocoa), and used liquid pearls for the ones in her hair. I then digi printed the word 'notes' and the ones at the bottom, inked and distressed, the heart is a doily that I covered in versamark and used gold embossing powder on. Everything was layered up, I added flowers and some cut out butterflies, along with two curls made of card, added the usual copious amounts of glitter all over, and here it is, my first ever altered piece!
I hope you like it - problem is it's now so lovely I won't want to use it!
Thanks for stopping by, please leave me a message if you do so I know you've been!

Friday sketch challenge sketch 60
Hello Bloggers
its time again for the Friday Sketch Challenge - this time one by Claudia..
Kindly sponsored by Meljen designs. I personally hadn't heard of this website before - but there are some really gorgeous designs and freebies for you to try check it out!
the winner will get a $5 voucher
Here is my interpretation of the sketch using a digi stamp I won on a challenge a few weeks ago. I've coloured Marina with promarkers (tan, caramel, cocoa, henna, almond, blush, sunkissed pink, lilac, amethyst, aubergine and cool grey 3). The backing papers are from a craft artist digi kit, and the butterfly's, frame, faux ribbon and sentiment are from a variety of kits I have. I printed them all separately, distressed the edges, added glitter around the edge of the embellishments and on marinas fairy wings, before layering everything up. my final touch was using a white gel pen to highlight parts of her hair and her eyelashes.
Hope you like it - please stop at FSC and have a go, and if you stop by please leave me a comment so I know you've been
I'd like to enter this into
613 Avenue Create - favourite colour (purple of course) and Black
Bearly - mine - Anything goes
That Craft Place - Anything goes
