All Dressed up - NEW DT and December release
Hello everyone
I have been so excited I've barely been able to contain myself. I found out earlier this week that I had made the cut for the All dressed up DT call!! I happy danced around for a long while I cant tell you what this means to me and to be working with some extremely talented ladies makes my feel very honoured!
Here's my first post. I only had a couple of days to make this. The image is yet again so gorgeous I didn't want to over whelm her, I wanted her to be the main focus.

Here's my first post. I only had a couple of days to make this. The image is yet again so gorgeous I didn't want to over whelm her, I wanted her to be the main focus.
She's called 'little skater' - Check out the blog and shop for details on how to get your hands on her here
She's been coloured with promarkers and then I've used distress inks and glitter to produce the shadows and ice effect. The image was printed onto the background and I've then used copious amounts of frantage all around to make it look like its snowing!
please hop over to ADU to see our other new release and see some of Wendy's other gorgeous images too. Our latest challenge is still on too if you fancy using one of the images (I know you wont' be able to resist!) all info on the blog too.

I'd like to enter this into:

Sentimental Sundays - Embossing wet or dry
Hello bloggers.
I hope your Christmas planning is going well! I'm currently nursing a rather sore head after my company Christmas party last night. It involved lots of dancing, drinking and even food fight well life's too short not to let your hair down at least once a year!!
Anyway... our latest challenge over at Sentimental Sundays is Embossing. so either wet using powders and inks, or dry with folders etc.
Our lovely sponsor today is bugaboo - so I used this uber cute image as it reminded me of my little boy!
My sentiment background is embossed with a bargain folder I picked up at the NEC. I had it from 'every crafts a pound' so no prizes for guessing I paid £1 for it!
The background paper is a docrafts one called letter to Santa and the image has been coloured with promarkers. The Ho Ho stamp is from a Crafters companion set .
Please hop on over to Sentimental Sundays and have a go at our challenge. Bugaboo are giving away images for the winner, but even if you don't want to enter, our talented DT have some great inspiration for you.
See you soon

Sentimental Sundays - use lots of layers
Hi all
it is once again time for another weekly Sentimental Sundays Challenge - this time it's 'use lots of layers'
Our kind sponsor this week is a day for daisies and I have used this lovely angel as the centre piece for my multi-layered card.
and here she is:
She was coloured with promarkers and the papers are from an old first edition pink Christmas pad matted onto silver mirri card (although the photo makes it look black!). around the image is scattered some chunky white frantage and the snowflakes are die cuts - glittered and glued on.
The sentiment is part of a set I picked up from Hobby Arts at the NEC
I think that's nearly all my Christmas cards made now... although I can't help feeling I'v missed someone....
I'd like to enter this into:
Crafty Calender Challenge - all about Christmas
Inkspirational - Christmas with a twist - no red or green
A crafty mess - anything goes
Completely Christmas - Something beginning with S (snowflakes)
thanks for stopping by - and thank you for any love you leave in my message box - it's all appreciated!

All dressed up for Christmas
Hi everyone
Woo hoo - I've managed a midweek post! I have managed to squeeze in a bit of crafting over the last couple of days - however not as much as I'd like as I have been catching up with those household chores as well as doing some school visits so I can choose a school for Harrison next September. sob sob!
My followers will know the All dressed up are my favourite digi stamps, and as they are having a DT call, it would be rude not to have a go!
The stamp is called Happy Christmas little star, and shes been coloured with promarkers. Around the edge is aged aqua embossing enamel and chunky white (both frantage). the papers are from a digi kit by nitwit and its been aged using a technique I recently learned at my fortnightly workshop (thanks Sue!). Using a very dry flat brush and gesso, lightly pull the loaded brush across the card and it makes it look like its been sanded and aged. The blue panel has been run through an embossing folder with some blue/white spotty ribbon. The sentiments are a combination of Lili of the valley and Crafters companion Christmas magic stamps. the flowers are Sue Wilson dies
Hope you like it! thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my ramblings....
I'd like to enter this into
All dressed up DT call
Crafty Sentiments - use die cuts
Passion for promarkers - blooming marvelous (use flowers)
Through the craft room door - anything goes
addicted to stamps - lots of layers
Christmas stampin - anything goes Christmas

Friday Sketch challenge 83.
Hi everyone
Roll on the weekend... I have a rare treat next week too - a whole week off (except for Thursday) when I can spend time with my little one, and some quality time in my beloved craft room. bliss! I have loads of projects I need to make as both gifts and cards for friends and family - so I need to get cracking!
Its our fortnightly challenge time again at Friday Sketch Challenge, this time the lovely Lizbeth has created this sketch:
And the lucky winner will get a Christmas surprise box as supplied by Christine - our DT Co-ordinator. got to be worth a go hasn't it?? - and its a great sketch.
Here's my take on it.
I used a stamp fairy image and coloured her with promarkers before fussy cutting her out.. I then used my dies to create the oval and the poinsettia flowers/greenery. The sentiment is part of a die cut and stamp set from marianne designs.
The back ground papers are a combination of a docrafts paper pad and digi printed torn strips (left over scraps)
I'd like to enter this into:
Addicted to stamps and more - make your mark
love to create - make it for Christmas
Love to scrap - say it in colour (I used green)
crafting by design - Christmas
See you Sunday and hopefully next week too, but if you've landed here now - please leave me a message, it makes my day to read them!
love

Sentimental Sundays Challenge - Brads, buttons and bows
Good morning everybody
Me again with another Sunday challenge from the brilliant Sentimental Sundays team.
this week were are sponsored by Paper Pretties and our theme is Brads, Buttons and bows.
This is a quick post as I'm just getting ready to go to my Nephews Christening, where I will be his God Parent, so there's not much waffling today (which some may say is not such a bad thing!)
Here's my card using buttons (Bows were not really appropriate for a robot card, and I cant find my brads anywhere!)
made with a paper pretties images, coloured with Grey promarkers. Background papers are from an old pad. embellished with buttons and string.
See you soon

Sentimental Sundays - Fairies and Fantasy
Hello bloggers
This week at Sentimental Sundays we have a fairies and fantasy week. I'd normally pick fairy and go for something really cute, but I'd got to make a Gothic card for a friend so thought I'd err on the side of fantasy... dark fantasy!
This image is from our sponsor, although its one I brought a while ago and haven't yet used.
Our sponsor is Rick St Dennis and heres my card made from this image and some other gloopy stuff... very different from my usual style!
The images was coloured with promarkers and a fine dusty in mica powder (although you cant see this in the photo!)
I then cut out cogs using my silhouette (2 of each) and glued them together for dimension. I used a chip board frame, some card candi and a couple of buttons for the background, then covered the entire thing in a couple of layers of acrylic paint. I then used gold gilding wax and red mica powder to add colour to the background before mounting the picture and using a computer generated sentiment to finish the card.
et voila steampunk meets fantasy!
Hope my Goth friend likes it!
See you all soon

Friday sketch number 82
Hello everyone
Firstly let me apologise for neglecting my blog.
I've been suffering from excruciating back pain for the last week of so, and have been on mega strength pain killers meaning I've been asleep at 9pm every night and certainly unable to sit for too long :(
I'm starting to recover now and am hoping plenty of walking will help release it as I visit the NEC today for some crafty inspiration and possibly a few well deserved crafty goodies!
Anyway - on with this weeks challenge and the sketch which looks like this:
we are kindly sponsored by digi boutique and i found out an image i can use from them.
Thought I'd do a nice simple card this week and here she is
She's actually called 'party Rach' - a stamp I thought appropriate for me - although these days there's not quite so much partying going on!
backing paper is from a digi kit on serif and 'Rach' was coloured with promarkers.
the ribbon is from my drafty stash and flower was made from a tonic punch coloured to match the paper with a promarker.
hope you like her - I'd like to enter her into:
Crafting by design - anything goes
Crafty Creations challenge - brads, buttons or bows (bow)
Deep ocean challenge blog - handmade flowers
Stamp and create - Ribbons or bow (bow made from ribbon)
Thanks for stopping by - It keeps me motivated to know you guys read my ramblings and appreciate my work!
Not so party Rach!

Friday sketch challenge 81
Hello everyone.
Happy Friday and a its a particularly happy Friday for the Evans house as its our little boys fourth birthday today. We are off for two days in Legoland Windsor to celebrate the occasion and I can't wait for some lovely family time, although I think I may well be exhausted by Sunday!
In the meantime, it is once again Friday Sketch challenge time, this time a lovely sketch from Gea
Sponsored by
Here's my take using a lovely image from our sponsor. She's so adorable.
The background is a piece of coated card, coloured using Mustard seed distress ink, and water to speckle the background. I then doodled the spiders and cobwebs using a black pen and a white gel pen for their eyes. The purple is also a distress ink this time dusty Concorde and the spider web black background and sentiment were from a digi kit. The image was coloured with promarkers.
Thanks for stopping by - if you do please leave me a comment just so I know who's visiting! Please drop by at Friday Sketch and check out the other DT work and of course to upload your take on Gea's sketch! see you all after Legoland....

Friday Sketch challenge 80
Hi everyone
Sshhh - I know its not Friday, but this should have been posted yesterday. I had some timing issues, i.e. work seems to have gotten in the way of crafting this week. Oh well, how else to I continue to purchase crafty goodies, if I don't earn some pennies!!
this weeks sketch is by Deborah and it looks like this:
and here is my take on it
The image and sentiment are from Cuddly Buddly and are coloured with promarkers. The snowman was glittered (hence the reason why it looks a bit green??) and the snow flakes I used my liquid pearls. I made the roses with brown card and some gesso to look like snow. The background was embossed using a free folder from a magazine (who doesn't love a freebie eh!)
please stop over and have a go at our latest sketch and check out the other DT inspiration
thanks for stopping by, please leave me a message so i know you've been
Lots of love

2 cards today... and No DT
Hello everyone
No DT for SS today - I've been so busy making cards to give out I have not had chance to participate int the Sentimental Sundays Challenge, although my first card does have a button on it - I could have just used that one I suppose!
I've also started the Christmas card list - looks like i'm going to be a busy bee for the next few weeks. Sorry hubby - I have to craft...
I have two cards to post today, one for my little boys friend Max, and another for my best friends daughter who is sixteen soon.
This was made with some docraft backing papers and brown card. with a lili of the Valley image and sentiment stamp, coloured with promarkers
I'd like to enter this into:
Lili of the valley - anything goes
Papertake - anything goes
Crafting at the weekend - anything goes
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Alphabet challenge - Round or rectangle (both)
Addicted to stamps and more - Anything goes
My next project is to celebrate both All dressed up first birthday and blog hop - but made for my friends daughter who will be 16 soon.
Made with a diggity dog docraft pad, elements were cut out using my silhouette. The flowers were made using Tim Holtz tattered flowers die, and some made with the technique learned at my class last week - I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of these! The image was coloured with promarkers
All dressed up - Birthday blog hop
Kitty Bee designs - die cut (flowers and electronic cutting for back ground elements)
7 kids college fund - anything goes
Creative moments - anything goes
Thanks so much for stopping by - hope you like my two very different creations. I'm off to blog hop (while listening to this years first X factor elimination - come on the over 25's!!)
